Fernandus Vinson is a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC), in the state of North Carolina. He has been in the mental health field for 20+ years and has been providing therapy services for 7 years. A 2016 graduate of Liberty University with a MA in Professional Counseling. He works with clients ranging in age from 16 to 65- years old. The interventions he uses in treatment include psycho-education, mindfulness techniques, anger management techniques, emotion regulation, restructuring thinking, and improving communication. He also uses an eclectic approach to therapy which includes using the following modalities: Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (BSFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Fernandus firmly believes the answer(s) to all of life's imbalances lies within, and it is his responsibility to restore normalcy in a person’s life. In addition to his clinical experience, serving as a retired NFL football player allows him the ability to understand how to manage emotions/feelings in intense environments while pressing forward towards identified goals.
